Fort Mill, SC – Wilma O. Powers, 77, passed away on January 17, 2023.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:30-2:45 pm at the funeral home.
Born in Mecklenburg County, NC, Mrs. Powers was the daughter of the late Ralph Roscoe Osborn and Janie Louise Nance Osborn. She was the Vice-President of Southern Plumbing Company, Inc. in Rock Hill. She was a multi-tasker, managing the bookkeeping at their family business along with being a homemaker. A devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Powers is survived by her husband of 53 years, Oliver H. Powers; her son, Jonathan Powers (Henning); daughter, Carmen Hamilton (Jason) all of Fort Mill, SC; five grandchildren, Jordan Gregory (Meghan), Evan Hamilton, Elliott Hamilton, Jack Powers and Allyson Powers; and two great-grandchildren, MaryKate Gregory and Caroline Gregory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers and five sisters.
