Rock Hill, SC – Mr. William Phillip “Bob” Gregory Jr. passed away at age 90 on October 10, 2023.
Mr. Gregory was born in Hodge, LA to the late William Phillip Gregory Sr. and the late Birdie Gregory. He was a member of India Hook United Methodist Church. He graduated from Crossett High School in Crossett, AR and graduated from Louisiana State University in 1955 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Bowater Corp after 28 years of service. He was a long-time volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. He was an avid boater and a member of the Chattanooga Yacht Club. He was also an avid hunter. Mr. Gregory was lovingly known as “Padoux” by his family and friends.
Mr. Gregory is survived by his wife, Patricia Gregory; son, Bill (Terry) Gregroy; daughter, Laura Gregory Moore; four grandchildren, William “Trey” (Jessica) Gregory, Kevin (Jennifer) Gregory, Emily Moore, Addison (Michelle) Moore; and five great-grandchildren, Jackson Moore, McKenna Moore, Austyn Johnson, Ramsey Gregory, and Emerson Gregory.
There will be a visitation at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732 on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The funeral ceremony will be held at India Hook United Methodist Church, 3300 Mt. Gallant Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732 on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
