Vernelle Campbell Wasylewski passed away peacefully in her home on November 8, 2024. On October 7th of this year, she was honored for reaching her life goal of living 100 years. She was one of nine children of the late Major J. Campbell, Sr., and Elizabeth V. Campbell of Landsford, SC. She was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Johnny Wasylewski, and all her siblings.

Vernelle’s life was filled with her extraordinary love of God, family, and friends. She was a devout Christian, a devoted wife, a loving sister, and an adored aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Because of her strong faith in God, she shared the love of Jesus with those who were blessed to know her.

Everyone enjoyed hearing Vernelle’s interesting stories about life “Down Home” with the Campbells. Her great sense of humor brought much laughter to family members, neighbors, and friends. She gave her nieces and nephews incredible childhood experiences that became personal treasured memories.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Providence Hospice Care and to the many friends who provided her with much kindness and loving care during her declining health. It is with saddened hearts, but joyful spirits, that we celebrate Vernelle’s life and return her to her Savior.
