In Loving Memory of Steven Charles Emory of Rock Hill, South Carolina born on June 11, 1985, entered eternal rest on March 20, 2024.
Steven was preceded in death by his father, Mark Emory and step brother Daniel Cox.
The loss of Steven has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him – a void that can never be filled and stands as a testament to the profound impact he had on us all.
Steven was a man of remarkable qualities – thoughtful, loving, kindhearted, and humorous. His warm presence brought joy and a sense of ease to those around him. He had a special gift for making others laugh, feel loved, cared for, and always included.
Passionate about wrestling, Steven excelled in the sport during his high school years, achieving the prestigious title of State Champion in the 115 weight class during his junior year at Rock Hill High, where his picture proudly hangs. His dedication and skill on the mat were truly admirable and brought pride to his family.
A tech-savvy individual, Steven was revered as the “Halo Champion of Rock Hill.” He poured his passion for technology into his work at Outback as the Key Manager for many years , dedicating himself to his profession with diligence and expertise. Music was a constant companion in his life, with the guitar and piano bringing him joy and solace.
Steven’s family meant everything to him and was his greatest treasure. He leaves behind his dear mother, LuAnne Cox-Dwyer, his maternal grandmother Vera Ingle, his beloved son Kyven Emory, and siblings Jamie D. Wagoner (Theresa), Michelle Ratliff (Jesse James), and step-brother Ryan Cox, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Steven’s life will be held at Greene’s Funeral Home at 2133 Ebenezer Rd in Rock Hill, SC on Thursday, April 4th, at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends and family immediately following the service. Donations in his memory can be made to Pilgrims Inn of Rock Hill, SC. Rest in peace, dear Steven.
