Rock Hill, SC – Shannon Lee Nicole Whiteside passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Piedmont Medical Center. She was the daughter of Shane and Mandi Whiteside.
A funeral service for Shannon will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 3:00 pm at New Kirk Baptist Church, 175 Museum Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
Shannon is a well-loved friend, cousin, niece, sister, and much more to so many people. She touched the lives of so many and will be deeply missed.
Those who know Shannon know she lived life with grace, integrity, and an unwavering dedication to others. She was a source of strength and support during times of hardship, a beacon of hope in moments of darkness, and a source of laughter and joy in times of happiness. Her presence brought comfort and solace to those in need, and her love knew no bounds.
She had a smile and a sweet little giggle that could light up a room and a heart that was always open to those in need. Every time you seen Shannon she was always wanting chicken nuggets and a Pepsi and boy did she get her chicken nuggys.
In addition to her parents, Shannon is survived by her brothers, Josh Cole (Amber) and Shaun Whiteside; her sister, Brittany Smith (Tyler); her aunts, Candi Knight Crump (Tony) and Melissa Knight (Jamie); her cousins, Alexus Bryson (Ryan), Addie Bryson-Sims, Destiny Bryson (Christian) Phillip Bryson (Billie-Kay), and Kaylee Kirk. her grandparents, Brian and Sara Killough, Mike and Debra Whiteside, and Ruby Taylor; her great-grandmother, Katie Lee Collins; She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Lottie and Joe C. Sanders, Sr., and her grandmother, Brenda Knight.

Shannon you may be gone, but your spirit will continue to guide and inspire us in the days ahead. Your legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who know you, forever.
