Ruth Ann Pitts (Ruthi Burns), 75, passed peacefully on May 6, 2024 in Rock Hill, SC. Ruthi was born in Sewickley, PA on September 17, 1948 to the late Ralph Burns and Steffie Dickson Burns. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J. Paul Pitts, and twin brother, Ralph Burns.
Ruthi is survived by her a sister, Joanne (Glen) Cripe; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Burns; nephews, Mark Cripe, and R.J. (Sherry) Burns; a niece, Meagan (Brian) Trimber; step daughter, Carol (Robert) Lyons, a step-grandaughter, Aimee Dalton; and her true friend, Debbie Bollick, as well as, many loving great nieces, nephews and wonderful cousins. Over her life time Ruthi had many animal companions whom she loved and treated as family.
Ruthi graduated (magna cum havin a good time) from Hopewell Area High School in Aliquippa, PA, class of 1966. She worked, for many years, in sales, at Grandview Cemetery, Beaver Falls PA., and was a devoted member of Croation Fraternal Union, Conway, PA.
After her wedding, September 16, 1988, Ruth and Paul moved to the Cleveland area of Ohio, where they spent many happy years. Upon the death of her husband, Ruthi moved to Rock Hill, SC to be near her sister.
Ruthi will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Beaver County, PA, this coming summer.
