Rock Hill, SC – Phyllis “Dale” Pryor, 73, of Rock Hill, passed peacefully in her home on Wednesday, Aug, 28, 2024, surrounded by her family.
The family will honor Dale’s life on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:50 pm, with a service immediately afterwards at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery, 143 Laurel Street, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
Dale was born on January 17, 1951 in Rock Hill, SC to the late Roy L. Reid and the late Hazel L. Reid (Fields). She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Ellington and her grandchildren, Linda House and Cooper Ellington.
Dale married Stephen Dell Pryor on May 14, 1967 in York, SC. She proudly supported Steve in his position as a pastor. She was a Godly woman and knew the importance of her role as a pastor’s wife, consistently walking beside him in ministry. They served together at Faith Freewill Baptist Church in Rockingham, NC. In addition to this vital role, she found her most important calling as a wife and mother. She was loved well and will be missed by many. She traveled and made a home with Steve in Nashville, TN, Selma, AL, Lancaster, SC, Henderson, NC, Greenville, NC, and Rockingham, NC.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, Steve Pryor, Dale is also survived by 2 of her children, Crystal Stainback (Kenney), and Steve Pryor. She was also proud of her grandchildren, Matthew House (Tonya), Chelsie House, and Emalee Pryor and her great-grandchildren, Scott House, Xavier Pryor, and Waylon House.
