Rock Hill, SC – Phillip R. Parker, 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at peacefully at his home.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM – 2:45 PM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with Johnny McGee officiating.
Phil was born in Gaffney, SC in 1940. He was the son of the late Horrace and Lottie Parker. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Kenneth Parker. He was survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Blackwell Parker for 61 years; sister, Linda (Glen) Jackson; sister-in-law, Virginia Parker; her children, Angel Canto, Tina Reynolds, and Robert Parker; brother-in-law, Herbie Blackwell; nephew, H.A. (Melissa) Blackwell; two nieces, Claire Blackwell, and Tiffany Galik.
He worked for Exxon as a District Manager for 12 years. After that, he retired from his own business, ACE Amusement Company. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and loved offshore deep-sea fishing on his boat.
In lieu of flowers, a tree can be planted to Rock Hill Tree Memorial, PO Box 11706, Rock Hill, SC 29731 in Phillip R. Parker’s name for $25.
