Ned M. Albright passed from this life on September 12, 2024 at the age of 86. His wife of 21 years (Beth Newton Albright) was by his side. He was born on July 2, 1938 son of Clarence (Ickey) Albright and Sophie Marshall Albright, South Carolina.

Surviving him are his wife, Beth Newton Albright; son, Ned M Albright, Jr of Dalton, GA, and daughter, Priscilla Albright Duffy Kemah, TX, her daughter, Sophie Duffy, of New Orleans, LA, and Holland Duffy of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by his brother, Bud Albright, his wife, Ginger Albright, of Arlington, VA, and their two children, Tripp of Arlington, VA and Caroline Albright of Aiken, South Carolina.

Ned graduated from Clemson with a BS in Forestry. Upon returning to Rock Hill, he took over the family business, Albright Realty.

As a businessman and leader in Rock Hill, he served as the president of the Rock Hill Rotary Club, York County Board of Realtors, Chairman of the Come See Me Festival and served on the South Carolina State Ethics Board of Realtors and Rock Hill, Industrial Park Board as well as president of the Realtors Education Foundation.

Everyone in his life has a colorful story about him because he led such a colorful life! An outdoorsman and adventurer, he was an avid fisherman, hunter, motorcycle trail rider, hiker, scuba diver, and boatsman. From midlife on, Ned took on many of his curiosities and interests as lifestyles. Sailing the waters of the world, he enjoyed adventures throughout the US, Bahamas, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Caribbean, Mexico, South America and Canada, to name a few. His hiking, camping and general curiosities, led him through wonderful adventures all over the globe.

His blessings were many, but his caring for others were many more. While being outdoors made him happy, caring for Beth made him happiest and loving his children Ned Jr and Priscilla and grandchildren, Sophie and Holland. Family trips each year rounded out the “Albright Adventure Series,” exciting destinations explored together. So today we celebrate his life, honor his legacy and not mourn his passing. Heartfelt thanks to all who have loved him and Beth during their life together.

A memorial service will be held at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church, 421 Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill, SC on September 28, 2024 at 4:00 pm.
