Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Milton “Mickey” L. Peake, 80, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024 after a short but courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Mickey faced this battle with a positive attitude and drew strength from his unwavering faith.
Mickey was born on October 17, 1943 to the late Barney Peake and the late Elrie Branham Peake. He was a graduate of Blythewood High School, where he was an outstanding athlete and enjoyed playing football and basketball. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, and an avid Gamecock fan. Mickey dedicated almost 30 years of service to Spring Industries before retiring. Following his retirement, he found joy in working as the dining room host at Chick-Fil-A, where he became affectionately known as Mr. Mickey. He was a loving father and grandfather, and loved spending time with his precious family.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Brewer and Jennifer (Scott) Sanders, of Rock Hill; grandchildren Courtney (Leland) Lavender-Graham of Sterling, VA, Jordan Brewer of Rock Hill, Harrison Luthren of Columbia, Anna Grace Luthren of Rock Hill, and Will Sanders of Rock Hill; and great-grandson, Fox Graham of Sterling, VA, his brother, Frank Peake of Elgin; his sister-in-law, Sylvia Jean Peake and nephew, Kenny Peake of Elgin.
He is also survived by his friends, Jerry and Dianne Wingate of Rock Hill.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Peake was predeceased by his brother, Howard Peake and son-in-law, Dennis Brewer.
