Milton Stewart Hunsucker, 68, of Rock Hill, SC passed away on Saturday, September 16th at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. He was born December 28, 1954 in Rock Hill, SC to John and Eleanor Hunsucker.
Milton graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor’s of Arts and received his Master’s degree from the University of South Carolina. He began his career as an educator teaching teleproduction at York Technical College and later transitioned to teaching art at public schools in both South and North Carolina.
Milton was a devoted father and husband. He was an avid guitarist who shared his love for music with friends and family throughout his life. He enjoyed collecting vintage instruments and historic Rock Hill artifacts. Through his kindness and generosity, he gave away more than he collected. He maintained a strong Christian faith and was a member of Oakland Avenue Presbyterian church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Karen Hunsucker of Lancaster, SC, his son, Yates Hunsucker of Rock Hill, SC, and his brother Mike Hunsucker of Rock Hill, SC.
A memorial service to celebrate Milton’s life will be held on September 29th at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC at 2 PM, followed by a private graveside inurnment at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill, SC.
