Catawba, SC – Michael lost his battle with cancer on October 6, 2023. Everyone who knew Michael would agree it was an honor to know such a beautiful, genuine, and amazing soul. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother. His smile was contagious and he would light up every room he walked into. He was the man to give you the shirt off of his back if it meant he could help someone even in the slightest way. He never met a stranger and his bright personality gave him the opportunity to build relationships with any and everybody. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, and spending time with family and friends. The one thing he enjoy the most was being a dad. He would tell you one of his greatest accomplishments in life was his beautiful daughter Londyn. Although his fight is over, please know for the last two years he fought long and hard. He is no longer suffering or in pain. That gives his family and friends some comfort during such a devastating time.
Mr. West is survived by his loving wife, Skyllar Burgess; daughter, Londyn West; father, Charles (Dawn) Michael West; mother, Amy Gervais; brother, Cody Lefer; two sisters, Brittany Gervais, and Charley Brown; and grandparents, Gaye (John) Patty, Charles Love, William Gervais, and Youlanda Gervais.
