Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Martha Faye Allman, 78, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Rev. Barry Yates and Pastor Mike Catoe officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park-Cherry Road. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 6-7:30 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Allman was born on August 9, 1944 in Rock Hill SC to Woodrow Harris Clark and Lucille Funderburke Clark. She was the widow of Melton “Mack” Allman to whom she was married to for 57 years.
She loved her family well, and most enjoyed being a Maw-Maw to the Grandchildren and in recent years to the Great Grandchildren. She was known all over town for her famous Chicken and Dressing and homemade macaroni and cheese. She had a servant’s heart like no other. She was always there any time a family member, friend or church member was in need. She was very involved in the WMU and Keenagers (Senior Group) for 20 plus years at Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a Bank teller at Rock Hill National Bank until her retirement in 1995.
Mrs. Allman is survived by her two sons, Mike (Beth) of Greenville, SC and Phillip (Diane) of Rock Hill, SC; her brother, Donald Clark of Newton, NC; five grandchildren, Amanda, Patrick, Cheree, Noah and Zach; three step-grandchildren, Brandon J., Brandon C., and Anna; and three great-grandchildren, Jayce, Rylee and Malia. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters.
