Rock Hill, SC – Marjorie Christensen Peake, 98, passed away at Wayne T Patrick Hospice on March 29, 2025. She was born on March 12, 1927, in Ridgeway, SC, to the late Horace E Christensen and the late Bessie L Branham Christensen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Monroe P Peake, son Jerry F Peake and great granddaughter Gabby E Carrington. Also preceded in death by her brothers, Hayward Samuel Christensen and Hazel Horace Christensen, and her sisters, Alice Louise Branham and Emily Louis Whittle.

Marjorie is survived by her  daughters, Judy P Hargrove (Buddy) , Barbara P Egan (Tim), and Gail D Baker (David); grandchildren, Susan R Hargrove, Albert W Hargrove III, Kelli H Evans, Michael P Hargrove, Stacy P Langley, Justin M Peake, Stephanie C Carrigan, Virginia C Fowler, Jennifer W Nevis; great-grandchildren, Diego Samayoa, Owen S Langley, Laythn Galloway, Preston Hargrove, Hailei Hargrove, Kaelyn Hargrove,  Abby Hargrove, Kristen Tucker, Greg Tucker, Keegan Carrigan, Lauren Nevis and Luke Nevis; and great-great grandchild Stetson Langley. Marjorie is also survived by her brother, Charles Furman Christensen.

Marjorie was a member of Catawba Baptist Church and a former Charter Member of Woodhaven Baptist Church. In her younger years, she was very active with the GA’s, sang in the choir, was on the bereavement committee and taught Sunday school. Marjorie was a God-fearing woman that loved the Lord, her family and gardening, especially flowers. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Her presence will ever be missed, but her spirit will always be felt.

The service for Marjorie Peake will be held on Friday, April 04, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732. Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM. A private family burial will take place after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marjorie’s name to Catawba Baptist Church Food Closet, Wayne T Patrick Hospice, Samaritan’s Purse or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
