Rock Hill, SC – Marian Katie Gilfillan Upchurch, 90, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at her home.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Grandview Memorial Park, 620 South Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC with Reverend Rick Martin officiating. The family will receive friends following.
Born in Gaffney, SC, Mrs. Upchurch was the daughter of the late John C Gilfillan and the late Estelle Elliot Gilfillan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Dean Upchurch. She was retired from RHP&F with 20 years of service. She was a member of Inspiration Southern Baptist Church.
Mrs. Upchurch is survived by her daughter, Doris Upchurch (Clennie) Davis of Rock Hill; her brother, Jimmy (Jackie) Gilfillan of Gaffney, SC; her granddaughter, Kelly (David) Hamilton of Rock Hill; her great-grandson, Michael Jones.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marian Katie Upchurch’s name to Inspiration Southern Baptist Church 921 Comer Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
