Lynne Diane Kirk passed away April 1 at the Hospice and Community Care Home in Rock Hill, SC. She was born the eldest child of Clarence and Lois Tobiason, November 22, 1948 in Dekalb, Illinois.
A brother, Craig Tobiason was born September 27, 1950 and a sister, Lesa was born April 27, 1958. After graduating from Genoa High School she attended Elgin Community College. On April 7, 1968, Lynne married Dave Bruce Bonin. After David’s death, January 21, 1977, she married Dr. James Kirk on August 11, 1979. Lynn and James had two children, Victoria Tressa Holmes Kirk (July 18, 1980) and Brandon Alan Kirk (October 20, 1982). For many years Lynn worked at the Bonin Grocery Store and at St. Joe’s Hospital in Elgin, Illinois. While living in Asheville, NC, Lynne worked in finance at an adult care facility.
Lynn’s passions included her husband and two children, good wine, traveling, gardening, home decor, and word games. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lois Tobiason, and her brother, Craig Tobiason.
