She also moved to live in New York city with family for a time. Moving to Rock Hill she graduated from Rock Hill High School. Loretta lived a full life, as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and touched many lives.

She was always known to be a friendly and caring person. Always putting family and friends first. Her sons Mick and Keith always had the best she could afford. She could also be tough when she needed to be. The church and her church family were at the top of her list also. She was always active in the Woodhaven Baptist church congregation. Loretta’s personality also served her well in the jobs that she held over the years. From selling shoes at Belk’s in the then new Rock Hill Mall to retiring from Wachovia Bank in 2003 after 30 years. Not one to sit around much after retirement, she did tax return preparation for B&G Tax Service for several years.
The family would like to thank the staff of Azalia Court at Lexington Extended Care and MSA Home Health & Hospice for their care, love and support during Loretta’s illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of South Carolina https://www.alz.org/sc in Loretta Griffin’s memory.
