Lequita C. Nunn passed away on November 3, 2024 at Piedmont Medical Center. She was born to the late Charley and Myrtle Earls on May, 19, 1930 in Paoli, OK.
She is preceded in death by husband of 64 years, Robert W. Nunn, they were married on July 18, 1953; son, Steven R. Nunn (widow, Kathy Nunn) brothers, James Earls, Charles Earls, Roland Earls, and Gordon Earls; and sister, Lois Hecathorn. She is survived by her son, Craig C. Nunn (Jo Ann) of Rock Hill, SC; sister, Janet Nadolny (James Covington) of Rock Hill, SC; and brother Arley Earls of Lindale Texas; grandchildren, Jerry R. Nunn (Gina) of West Valley, NY, Daniel J. Nunn of Tampa, FL, Christa L. Bucior (Mason) of Tonawanda, NY, Hayley Nunn of Tampa, FL; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Before her marriage she worked at Marlin Rockwell in Jamestown, NY. After the birth of her first son, she was a loving stay at home Mom. In 1983 her husband retired and they moved to Bushnell Florida where they spent several years traveling. She worked part time for many years as a homecare worker for seniors. She also volunteered at the local police station.
She loved all types of crafting but was especially talented at flower arranging, wood carving, painting and sewing. She was a member of several organizations including the local flower club, Red Hats Society, and campers club. She enjoyed traveling all through the US, Canada and Mexico. She was a member or regular attender of several churches during her lifetime and enjoyed reading her Bible and praying for others.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to Hospice in her honor.
