Rock Hill, South Carolina – Mr. Leon Newton Williams, 59, entered into his eternal home on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Born on March 28, 1965 in Rock Hill, Leon was the son of the late Harry Bruce Williams Sr. and the late Mildred Jackson Williams. Leon was a HVAC Technician with Winthrop University since 2002. He graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1983 and then received his associates degree from York Technical College. Leon was an Eagle Scout and troop leader with Boy Scout Troop 132. Throughout his life, he was a drummer in several bands in the local area. Leon enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He also loved to cook and grill for his family.
Leon is survived by his wife, Tammy Faile Williams; his daughters, Mary Kathleen Williams (Graham) Culp, Ashley Williams, and Danielle Champion; and one granddaughter Carter Anne Culp all of Rock Hill. He is also survived by his brother Bruce (Carol) Williams of McConnells, SC and three nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Neely’s Creek ARP Church Cemetery, 974 Neely’s Creek Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730 with the Reverend Matt Joldersma officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church sanctuary.
