Rock Hill, SC – Judith Moses Rains, 82, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at her residence.
Judy’s service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Westminster Presbyterian Church Chapel, 1320 India Hook Road, Rock Hill with JT Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in Laurelwood Cemetery, 143 Laurel Street, Rock Hill. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-1:45 pm, prior to the service.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Judy was the daughter of the late James George Moses and the late Lillian Hellams Moses. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jean Surber and her brother, Tommy Moses. She was blessed in caring for her mother and loved her family fully. She enjoyed traveling and never met a stranger. Judy was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her spouse, Nathan I. Rains; sister, Joyce McGarity; two nephews, Mike McGarity and Steve McGarity; and one niece, Debbie Moses.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Judy Rains’s name to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
