Edgemoor, SC – Mrs. Joyce Hinson Ernandez, 92, went to be with her Lord on Friday, September 29, 2023 at her home. Joyce was born in Lando, SC on December 23, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Theodore Stafford Hinson and Margaret Bailey Hinson. She was a member of Lando Baptist Church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the love of her life. She worked for Manetta Mills in Lando, SC for 35 years, first in the company store and then in the cloth room.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Laney (Mousie) Ernandez; grandson, Trinity Ernandez, great-grandson, Kobe Roberts; two brothers, Dody Hinson and Grady Hinson. She is survived by her two sons, Alan Ernandez (Patti) of Fort Lawn and Barry Ernandez of Richburg; one daughter, Jackie Mosley (Wayne) of Edgemoor; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Roberts, Tabitha Matheson (Malcom), Bo, Chase (Ashley), Staci Polk (Brandon), Misty Hance (Matt), Tori Boykin (Tanner), Jennifer McWatters (Erik), Clint Mosley (Kayla); and 13 great-grandchildren, Makayla, Presley, Hadley, Darby, Grady, Graham, Oakley, Abram, Ailah, Asher, River, Laney and Natalie.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 6:00-7:30 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
A graveside service will be held Monday, October 2, 2023 at 4:00 pm at Lando Cemetery with Edward Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lando Cemetery Fund, Lando Baptist Church, Lando Road, Lando, SC 29729.
