Rock Hill, SC – Joseph Saye Simpson, 76, died peacefully, June 17, 2024 at Piedmont Medical Center with family by his side.
Funeral services for Mr. Simpson will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Union Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 3594 Lancaster Hwy., Richburg, SC 29729 with Rev. Dr. Neely Gaston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Following, will be a reception at The Bins, 3445 J S Gaston Rd. Richburg, SC 29729.
Mr. Simpson was the son of the late Harper Gaston Simpson and Amelia Crawford Saye Simpson of Rodman, SC. He was a member and elder at Union Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Mr. Simpson was previously employed as the Office Manager at Manetta Mills and as the Accounts Manager with Albright Realty. He was a member of The Society of the Cincinnati of the State of South Carolina, Chester District Genealogical Society and the Lewisville Preservation Society.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Jeffreys Woods Simpson; his son, Joseph McJunkin Saye Simpson of Charleston SC (Dr. Jessica Cook), his brother, Dr. James Gaston Simpson of Charleston, SC, and his sister, Augusta Simpson McCallister of Rodman, SC. He was preceded in death by his son, James Gaston Simpson, II and his brother, William Harper Simpson.
