Clover, SC- Jerry Levanson Buchanan, a servant of God, Beloved Husband, Daddy, PawPaw, Brother, Uncle, Beloved Friend went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. We are sure Jesus welcomed him with open arms and a loving embrace.
Jerry was a material handling engineer by trade. He worked his early years at Celanese and also served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Jerry later owned his own business “Bico International” until he retired. In the business industry, he was known as “JB” and he was known for his word being his bond and a handshake sealed the deal. His family stated “if he spoke it, you could bank on it.” Jerry is also listed in The Who Who of Christian Businessmen.
Jerry always considered his most important job was sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. Jerry also went once a week to have Bible Study with the inmates, where he was known as the “spiritual farmer.”
Jerry never met a stranger and was always looking for opportunities to help people. Jerry walked so close to God, that he could hear God’s divine whisper and God gave him divine wisdom. Jerry went on many mission trips, which included Africa, Australia, Brazil, and even smuggled Bibles on donkeys for the Christ Mission Team to the underground churches in China..
