Rock Hill, SC – Jerry Lester Davis passed away on February 22, 2024. He was born on July 12, 1944 to the late Lester Davis and the late Lois Davis.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Shrader. He was survived by his wife, Diane Davis; daughter, Jennifer Basinger; two grandchildren, Brandon Basinger and Katelyn Basinger; two step-daughters, Lisa (Doug) Eagan, Lesile (Gary) Nivens; six step-grandchildren, Hunter Thompson, Delaney Nivens, Caroline Thompson, Casey Thompson, Casey Eagan, and Brody Nivens.
Jerry worked at Springs Industries as a Textile Supervisor, and then retired at Sunbelt Chemical. He served and retired in the National Guard more than 20+ years. He was a sports enthusiast, and a diehard South Carolina Gamecock fan. He enjoyed playing golf, and riding in his golf cart, camping and being outdoors. He was a simple man. Who kept everything he owned in pristine condition.
There will be a visitation from 2pm – 4pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732.
