McConnells, SC – Mrs. Janie K. Moore, 73, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023.
Born in Columbia, SC, Janie was the daughter of the late James Becker Horlacher and the late Janie Katherine Brown Horlacher. An educator, Janie taught at Lewisville Middle School in Lewisville, SC and Erwin Elementary in Lancaster, SC. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Winthrop University. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors. She also volunteered as a tour guide with the Lansford Canal Association. Janie has now joined in Heaven her late husband, James Glenn Moore.
Janie is survived by her daughters, Susan Moore Theriot of Columbia, SC and Caroline Moore Payne (Timothy E.) of Winnsboro; her grandson, Adam Preston and her beloved fox hound, Josephine Honey Lamb.
