Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Jamison Stanley Elder, 61, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. Jamie bravely battled a rare type of cancer, Leiomyosarcoma, for a year and a half.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC with Trent McLaughlin officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the funeral home.
Born in Pennsylvania, Jamie was the son of the late Donald Elder and the late Phyllis Courtney Elder. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Joli Oliver Elder. Jamie was a truck driver with Averett for approximately 30 years. He then worked for Dyno Novel for two years prior to his cancer diagnosis. He enjoyed traveling and loved spending time at both the beach and the mountains. He was determined to see the world. Jamie loved his pets and enjoyed spending time outside with them.
Surviving are his fiancé, Jennifer Tritt of Rock Hill, SC; two step-sons, Aiden Mobley and Easton Tritt; his nephew, AJ (Julianne) McKay; and his great-nephew, Gabriel McKay.
