Rock Hill, SC – Mr. James Frederick Saul, 79, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House due to complications of Lewy Body Parkinson’s disease.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 7:00 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 6:00-6:45 at the funeral home.
Mr. Saul was a native of York, PA and the son of the late Thomas Nelson Saul and the late Hester Romaine Wineka Saul. He was a United States Air Force veteran and served from 1961-1965 in the Philippines and Turkey, deciphering morse code. For many years, he worked in sales in the coal mining industry and was the owner of Inter Mountain Supply. He retired from US Foodservice after 18 years of service in security. On October 27, 2011, he lost his beloved wife of 36 years, Carolyn Sue Saul.
Mr. Saul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He is survived by his four children, Andrew Saul, Scott Carpenter, Eric Carpenter and Tonya Meadows. He is also survived by his sister, Joyce Hovis and husband, Guy; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Brenton Matthew Saul; brother, John Saul; and sisters, Jayne Saul and Joanne Saul.
