Belmont, NC – James Douglas Payne, 44, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 in Edgemoor, SC.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1830 Celanese Road, Rock Hill with Reverend John Nowaczewski officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be at 1:30 until time of the service at the church.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Payne was the son of James Ray Payne and Ruth Angeline Gill Payne. He was employed with Sullivan Brothers Automotive of Kingston, Massachusetts.
Mr. Payne is survived in addition to his parents by fiancé, Theresa Simon of Belmont, NC; two sons, Anthony Payne and Austin Payne both of the home; two brothers, Brian (Ginger) Payne of Edgemoor, SC, and his twin, Gill (Sarah) Payne of Gastonia, NC; nephews and nieces.
