Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Henry Stanford “Stan” Schultz, 94, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
Funeral services for Mr. Schultz will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Reverends Reggie Hopkins and Roger Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park-Cherry Road, Rock Hill.
Born in McClellanville, SC, Mr. Schultz was the son of the late John Wilbur Schultz and Mary Elizabeth Blakely Schultz. He retired from Hoechst Celanese as Foreman of the Power Plant after 35 years of service. After his retirement, he worked with his son, Billy at Schultz Drywall. Mr. Schultz was one of the founding members of Faith Assembly of God Church in Rock Hill. He enjoyed coaching and through the years he coached football at Rosewood Elementary School, baseball at Shaw Furniture and coached alongside Dave Eddleman for 25 years. He was a huge Clemson football fan and loved to go to all the home games. He was the widower of Evie Lewis Schultz, to whom he was married to for 60 years.
Mr. Schultz is survived by his two sons, Stan Schultz, Jr. and Billy “Mole” Schultz and wife, Debbie all of Rock Hill; his granddaughter, Stephanie Schultz Mattox and husband, Adam, and his great-grandson, Austin Mattox all of Clover, SC; numerous nieces and nephews and his caregiver Akata (Ou).
