Rock Hill – Heinke went to her heavenly home on Friday, October 27, 2023. She died at home with her daughter and best friend by her side.
Heinke Marie Brodersen was born in Friedrichstadt, Germany on October 24, 1937, to Cornelius Brodersen and Rosa Katarina Marguerite Kross. She was one of 12 children.
In 1959 Heinke emigrated from Denmark to the US to ‘Sunny California’ where she answered an ad for a nanny position. This was a testament to her free spirit and courageous personality. She met and married in 1960 and was the loving mother of three children, Monica, John, and Jeffrey.
Heinke worked as an office manager for Western Pacific Financial and Shearson Lehman Mortgage in Newport Beach, California before following her daughter to South Carolina where she retired from Leslie Advertising in Greenville, SC. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, porch sitting, and creating beautifully knitted sweaters, afghans and dish rags for her family and friends.
Heinke was always looking to the needs of others. She loved her home, and every detail was a part of her personality and spirit. She loved purses and fashion with a bit of bling! Heinke always presented herself with grace and style.
She will be remembered for her unwavering care for her family and friends, her attention to special details, her love of animals, the importance of daily rituals and being content with what you have in this life.
A visitation in Heinke’s memory will be held at Saturday December 2, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel – 2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill, SC.
Heinke is survived by her daughter, Monica Hearn of Rock Hill, SC; her son, John Jimenez of Homeland, California; her grandchildren, Juliana Hearn Shaffer of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Lucas Hearn of Rock Hill, SC, and Savannah Jimenez of Fountain Valley, California.
