Rock Hill, SC – Gloria Good Wilson of Rock Hill died peacefully at Piedmont Medical Center on July 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Wilson was born in 1941. She graduated from York High School in 1959 and represented the City of York as “Miss York” in the Carousel Parade. She served as Secretary/Receptionist at Ebenezer APR Church for 24 years and retired in 1997 to become a full-time Nana to her grandchildren.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Dan, and two daughters, Lisa Broome (Mike) and Karen Wilson (Anita). She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Ida Bratton (John) and her brother, Allen “AB” Good (Janice). She loved her seven grandchildren, Christopher Kane (Meaghan), Jessica Simpson, Laura Erbe, Andrew Maupin, Taylor Newton (Will), McKensi Broome and Mikaela Broome. She also loved her 16 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Harris Good McCollum, her dad, Allen Burruss Good, her sister, Dora Hunter and her stepfather Luther T. McCollum.
Mrs. Wilson was a gentle, loving wife, Mom/Mama and Nana. She made a difference in the lives of all who knew her. Her memory will be a blessing. May she rest in sweet eternal peace.
A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 18.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Wilson’s name to Woodhaven Baptist Church, 2060 Marett Blvd. Ext, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
