Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Frank Edward Baker, 94, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family May 12, 2024, at Magnolia Manor under Hospice Care.

Mr. Baker was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC. He was the 9th child out of 14 born to the late George Thomas and Lucy Viola Adams Baker.

Mr. Baker was retired from Aragon Mill after 20 years of service. He was also retired from Celanese Celriver Plant after 19 years of service. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, working word search puzzles, and gardening.

Mr. Baker was proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 39 years, the late Lillie Maybelle Thomas Baker. He was also proceeded in death by his infant daughter, Jeanette Lynn Baker. He was also proceeded in death by six sisters, Thelma Phillips (Ray), Margaret Rainey (Bill), Bea Greene (Tommy), Betty Starnes (Marvin), Faye (infant), and Sally (infant), six brothers, John (Elsie), Arnold (Catherine), Lamar (Betty Sue), Ray (Sonny) (Connie), George (infant), and Benjamin (infant). He was also proceeded in death by his son-in-law, Charles Edward Pittman, whom he loved like a son.

Mr. Baker is survived by his daughter, Terry Baker Pittman. He also survived by his only granddaughter, Crystal Pittman Evans (Ronnie), and his only grandson, Charles Franklin (Frankie) Pittman. He is survived by his great grandchildren, Patrick Evans (Jennifer), Brookelynn Evans (Josh), MaKenzie Evans (Devon), Payton Pittman, Brodie Pittman, Lillie Pittman, and Maddie Pittman. He is survived by his great-great grandchildren, Anthony Evans, Hunter Patterson, Charlie Patterson, Walker Michaud, and Addy Michaud.

Mr. Baker is also survived by his sister, Joyce Henson, and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

He touched so many lives and he will be missed by all.

Mr. Baker’s funeral service will be Saturday May 25, 2024 at 5pm at New Hope Baptist Church 875 Neely’s Creek Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29730. The family will receive visitors at the church immediately following the service.
