Evelyn C. Hall, 79, passed away at her home on August 30, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 5, 1945 in Plymouth, NC to the late JB Carter and the late Lois Carter Crolley. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Nunn; her brother, Reverend James “Jim” Carter; her sister, Connie Galloway. She is survived by her husband, Harold “Buzzy” Hall; daughter, Monica Michele Nunn; brothers, Keith Carter (June), Billy Carter (Beth), Glenn Carter; sister, Pat Woods (Bill); grandchildren, Madison Towe, Elizabeth Nunn, Seth Nunn; great-grandchildren, Jaxson Hopkins, and Sloan Everette. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Evelyn was a hair stylist over 20 years. In addition to her loving family, she leaves behind a host of friends who have remained loyal over many years. Her suffering is now over. She fought the good fight, kept the faith, finished the race, and she is now resting peacefully with her Lord.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 1 PM at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church, 421 Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church, Rock Hill, SC, 29730. A funeral ceremony will follow after the visitation at 2PM. The burial will take place after the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Evelyn Hall’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
