Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Elizabeth “Lib” Good Childers, 98, entered into her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1830 Celanese Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Reverend John Nowaczewski officiating. Visitation will be held following the service in the Tower Room at the church.
A native of Richburg, SC, Mrs. Childers was the daughter of the late John L. Good and the late Lillian Varnadore Good. She was a longtime, active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and retired from Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Company. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress and took great pleasure sharing her talents with others. She was the loving widow of W.T. “Tug” Childers, whom she was married to for 53 years.
Mrs. Childers is survived by daughters, Jane Hayes and her husband, Charlie of Rock Hill; and Libby Pelletier of Greenville, SC; eight grandchildren, Angela Allen Robinson and her husband, Tim; Ashley Allen Colwell and her husband, John; Michael Hayes and his fiancé Danielle Barnes; Chelsea Hayes Sutton and her husband, Justin; Will Pelletier and his wife, Sherry; Dustin Pelletier and his wife, Tabatha; Danielle Pelletier Watson and her husband, Lee and Caroline Pelletier Durango and her husband, Jonathan; 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and her nephews, Johnnie Childers and Mickey Childers. She was preceded in death by her son, Benny Childers, sons-in-law, Randy Allen and Dana Pelletier and her sister, Doris Childers. The family wishes to express their gratitude to her loving caregiver, Barbara Allnutt, as well as, the wonderful nurses and staff at Piedmont Medical Center and the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
