Edward (Ed) Lee Milliken originally from McConnell and then Freeport, IL, most recently of Rock Hill, SC went home to be with Lord after prolonged medical issues on October 14th, 2024.
He was 70 years old. His greatest joys were his family. He loved being a husband, father, and grandfather (or Bapa). He was an avid dessert lover and anything with chocolate and enjoyed old TV shows like The Andy Griffith Show and The Three Stooges. He loved good comedies and was a jokester and punster. He loved dogs, cats, birds, and sheep and loved the mountains and lakes of the Carolinas, Illinois, and Wisconsin. He grew up watching and enjoying professional wrestling and passed this love on to his son and they were able to attend many events together. He worked various jobs in healthcare and before retiring worked at Publix Supermarket.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Debra (Debbie) (Swalve) Milliken, son Andrew Lee Milliken, daughter-in-law Stephanie (Brunson) Milliken, and grand-daughter Alice McDaniel-Milliken. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Steve Swalve, Phil Swalve, Todd Swalve, Mike Roberston, and sisters-in-law Cherie Robertson, Diann Swalve, Cindy Swalve, and Lauri Swalve. He had 4 nieces and 6 nephews that he loved very much. Proceeding him in death were his father Keith Milliken, mother Cora (Frager) Milliken, brothers Larry Milliken and Wayne Whitehurst, brother-in-law Gary Swalve, and daughter-in-law J.L. McDaniel-Milliken.
Memorial Gifts may be made to the York County Humane Society and Oakland Ave Presbyterian Church. A memorial and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church, 421 Oakland Ave, Rock Hill, SC.
