Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Doris Cagle Helms, 78, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at her home.
Mrs, Helms was born in Norfolk, VA, and was the daughter of the late Deber Cagle and the late Margaret Cagle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Helms.
Mrs. Helms was of the Christian faith having been born again while attending Fayetteville Street Baptist Church in Asheboro, NC in her early years. Her last professional position was a Registered Nurse for Chester County Mental Health.
Services for Mrs. Helms will be 2:00 pm, June 30, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill with Reverend Kyle Sims officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw, SC. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home prior to service.
Mrs. Helms is survived by her two sons, Mark A. (Lyn) Helms of Rock Hill, SC, Eric (Sherry) Helms of Simpsonville, SC; three grandchildren, Bethany Helms, Emily Helms, Jacob Helms; and her brother, Ed F (Claire) Cagle of Florence, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Helms’s name to Hospice & Community Care PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
