David was born on May 15, 1953 in Columbia, SC. He was the son of the late Alice Price Harris and William F Faulkenberry, Jr. He graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1972 and then attended York Tech.
He was a free spirit and definitely marched to a different drum. He was very passionate about any hobby or endeavor he undertook. His interests were far and wide and he always did his research with a Farmer’s Almanac close by.
He kept his friends in stitches with his honest, dry wit. He loved fishing, hunting, collecting arrowheads, gardening, the great outdoors, NASCAR, Classic Rock-n-Roll, and his Gamecocks – the real ones and was especially proud of his champion – Pretty Boy.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Mark Faulkenberry. Also by his horse, Duke, who was with David almost 30 years.
He is survived by his brother Dean Faulkenberry (Marsha), first cousins Michael McGill, Knoxville, Tn, Melissa McGill, Brevard, NC, Hayes Brown, Atlanta, GA, Clayton Brown, Columbia, SC and Barbara Ann Lazenby, Lancaster, SC. Also, nieces Sara Beaver (Chris), Columbia, SC, Grace Berger (Kenny), Columbia, SC, and Tiffany Sharpe (Robert), Tallahassee, Fl. Nephews Ray Jones (Mary), Lexington, SC, and Dean Faulkenberry, II, Tampa, Fl.
