David Martin Vines, 87, of York, S.C. passed away on March 22, 2025, at home.
Born December 31,1937 in Jefferson County, Alabama, David was the son of the late Clyde Vines and Thelma Letson Vines.
Mr. Vines was also preceded in death by his wife, Sue Vines, brother, Doug Vines, and grandson Evan Vines. Survivors include daughter Rae Goforth (Rob), sons Brett (Toni) and Scott (Sara), five grandchildren, Katie (Chris), Zach (Jeanea), Jack (Kaylin), Jillian, and Axel, and five great-grandchildren, Zane, Skylar, Adalyn, Harper, and Emersyn.
His funeral will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. and the funeral following at 12 p.m. at Greene Funeral Home, 2133 Ebenezer Rd., Rock Hill, S.C., with Pastor Michael Beeks officiating. The burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park Hollis Lakes at 387 Hollis Lakes Road in Rock Hill.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to Interim Hospice, 154 Amendment Ave., Rock Hill, S.C 29732 and Rawlinson Road Baptist Church, 1024 Rawlinson Road, Rock Hill, S.C. 29732.
