The Kingdom of Heaven opened its doors for David A. Roth to enter the presence of God eternally. On November 29, 2023, the world said goodbye to a faithful servant of God. David passed away at the age of 80 and he has left an indelible legacy of unwavering faith, compassion, love, and service.
He was born to the late Kenneth Roth and the late Joyce Roth on September 18, 1943, in Allentown, PA. He was preceded in death by his son, David L. Roth; and his brother, Barry Roth. Dave had a passion for music, which he shared from a young age with his brothers to later delight his wife, pass it on to his children, and use his talent to worship the Lord.
His memory will live on thanks to his wife, Barbara Roth, with whom he shared 46 years of a love story that will never expire. Together they built a 45-year marriage based on companionship and the lasting power of Faith. He is also survived by his sons, Jason (Carey) Roth of Roanoke, VA; Matthew (Rebeca) Roth of San Marcos, TX; his brother, John Roth of Gulfport, FL; his sister, Melody McGill of Macungie, PA; his four grandchildren, Alex Roth of Douglasville, GA; Isaac, Kelsey and Riley Roth of Roanoke, VA; and his sister-in-law, Patt Roth of Hershey, PA.
He loved serving God (for over three decades) and writing Bible studies for others. David started Midtown Children’s Ministries to teach the word of God to children from underserved areas around Rock Hill. He was a devout Christian and served as pastor at My Radical Church (now City Hope Church). His studies can be found at seekhimnow.com. He served at the Naval School of Music. He was a die-hard Carolina Hurricanes fan and loved watching their games. He also enjoyed gardening.
