Dalton Chase Wheeler went to dance in the streets of heaven on September 29th, 2024.

But for us it is with great sadness that he has left us at the tender young age of 24. He was a cherished individual known for his zest for life, enormous heart, and a wonderful sense of humor that brought laughter to all his friends, family, and everyone who was blessed to know him. Dalton was born in Rock Hill, SC. As a graduate of Northwestern High school, he was always full of life- from childhood talent shows, high school band where he excelled through the love for his saxophone, fishing, and mostly the lasting relationships with the many dear friends he made along the way. Dalton’s bravery and compassionate soul was taking to the highest level with his willingness to put himself in harm’s way to save the life of others. He will always be our hero.

Dalton met the love of his life and beloved wife Mary Jo Wheeler, which he held dear to his heart. He felt blessed that he had met his soul mate; and with that brought his pride and joy, his son, Wyatt Lynn Wheeler. Dalton was known for his strong, unwavering determination, love and support for his family.

Preceded through the gates of heaven: His grandmother Brenda Dawkins & nephew Chas Troxel, who will show him heaven’s best fishing hole.

Survived by wife Mary Jo Wheeler, son Wyatt Lynn Wheeler, loving mother Amanda Wheeler, father Brian Dease Jr, aunt Myrna McGuire, uncle Brad McGuire & aunt Bernie McGuire, and by several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He will be remembered for the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each and every one of them and if you knew him, you knew it.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with the Reverend Bill Greeley officiating.

To our sweet soul “Dalton”- everyone you left in this world are saddened you are gone, but we are happy that you are now home with no more pain and sorrow. Fly angel, you are free.
