Fort Mill, SC – Connie Nivens Campbell, 87, passed away on July 28, 2024 at her home. She was born on January 18, 1937 to the late Grady Reece Nivens and the late Ouida Hunter Nivens in Charlotte, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lawrence Campbell; brother, Thomas Jamison Nivens. Connie is survived by her three children, Grady Reece Campbell, Ouida Elaine Campbell, and Hugh Lawrence Campbell (Butch); seven grandchildren, Reece Campbell, Trent Campbell, Will Campbell, Lauren Marine, Ouida-Jayne Marine, Corey Campbell, Katie Rayfield; five great-grandchildren, Jackson Campbell, Hank Campbell, Joanna Campbell, Emery Bigham, and Weston Campbell.
Connie was a member of Tirzah ARP and graduated from Rock Hill High School in the class of 1955. She continued her education at Limestone College. Connie had a deep passion for playing cards with her family, favoring games such as Rummikub, Skip-Bo, and Bridge, in which she was a competitive player. Connie loved roses, piano music, and cooking. Connie made the best mac and cheese, and she enjoyed her steak, BBQ, and fried chicken. She was an avid Clemson Football fan. She will be dearly missed.
