Charles Scott Guyton, 70, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 23, 1955 in Kings Mountain, NC to Charles and Helen Guyton.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna E. Guyton, his children, Mandy Pyrc (Marc), Keri Guyton (fiance’, Allen Underwood), Zeb Guyton (Alysia), and Caleb Guyton (fiance’, Ariel Miller); his 6 beloved grandchildren, Owen and Grady Pyrc, Ryleigh, Blakelee, Anslee, and Kase Guyton; his brother, Brent (Cindy) and his niece and nephews and their children.
Scott was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who loved the Lord and carried his faith in everything he did. He graduated from the University of South Carolina and spent his career at Bowater Inc. He was a member of Catawba Baptist Church. He found joy in the open road on his Harley, watching Gamecock football, the peace of a well played round of golf, and most of all the warmth of time spent with his family and grandchildren. His laughter, wisdom and generous heart will forever be cherished by those lucky enough to have known him.
We will continue to honor his legacy by living with the same love and devotion he showed everyday.
His celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Catawba Baptist Church, 1450 Anderson Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29730. Visitation will be held 1:00 PM prior at the church.
