Brian Twomey, of Rock Hill, SC passed away on July 1, 2024 in Concord, NC. A native of New York, Brian spent the last twenty years in Rock Hill. He leaves behind many family and friends who will miss him greatly.
When Brian came to Rock Hill, he quickly found First ARP Church. He discovered a church family that loved him and supported him through the good times and bad. He joined the church in 2008 and volunteered in a variety of ways. Brian cared about people and loved to talk to anyone and everyone. The church was one of his top priorities.
Brian loved music. He enjoyed attending the Rock Hill Symphony. He loved to play the harmonica and took lessons from a friend. He also enjoyed history. He was fascinated with the history of Rock Hill and especially the families that helped found this great town.
Brian had a knack for economics especially world currencies. He understood the ups and downs of trade and even taught some courses in economics. The Lord blessed Brian with a sharp mind.
Above all else, Brian will be remembered as someone who loved others. He deeply cared about his family. He loved his church family, especially Pastor Barry who invested a lot in him. Brian loved the Lord he rescued him and gave him a fresh start.
Brian leaves behind his wife and life-partner, Mary. He loved her and took very good care of her for the more than twenty years they were together. He supported her through chemotherapy and other sickness. Brian also leaves behind his mother Carol, sister Debb, sister-in-law Rhonda (Todd), brother-in-law Carl (Kath) and nieces and nephews (Austin, Ashley, Samantha, Randy, Autumn, Elise, Jennifer, Elizabeth, and Little Carl) As well as his step daughter Kathy and two children, Tyrell and CC.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 6 at 10:30am at First ARP Church in Rock Hill, SC. Memorials can be made to First ARP Church.
