Lancaster, SC – Brenda Bailey, 71, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at MUSC-Lancaster Medical Center.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Brenda Bailey was the daughter of the late Jessie F. Blackmon and the late Ramona Blackmon. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Ronald Wallace Strait, Sr. She enjoyed plants, flowers, and loved her grandchildren. She graduated from Rock Hill High School. She formerly worked at Graphic Control at Rock Hill. She was also a selfless individual and thought about the needs of others before hers.
The service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with Eddie Usher officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30 pm-6:00 pm on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC.
Surviving are her two daughters, Jessica (Keith) Thrift of McConnells, Ashley Bailey of Lancaster, SC; son, Scott (Carrie) Bailey of Lancaster, SC; two sisters, Marilyn Strait of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Angie (Scott) Coulter of Lake Wylie, SC; nine grandchildren, Alyssa, Olivia, Brionna, Kasey, Zackary, Kayla, Dakota, Josh, Grayson, five great grandchildren, and three nieces and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ms. Bailey’s name to Samaritan’s Purse PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607-3000.
