Rock Hill – Bobby Eugene Brissie 90, was born on August 28, 1932 to Dan and Ruby Brissie at Ware Shoals, SC. He died on August 26, 2023 peacefully at home after a short illness.
He graduated from Ware Shoals High School in 1950. He then graduated from North Greenville Junior College and attended Furman University. While in college he spent 4 summers doing missions work in western states. After spending 4 years in the Air Force, he later was employed by Southern Railway for 35 years.
Services for Mr. Brissie will be 2:00 pm, Friday, September 1, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church, 830 N. Jones Ave, Rock Hill, SC 29730 with the Reverend Reggie Hopkins officiating.
Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park – Hollis Lakes. The family will receive friends Friday, from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anna of 55 years; Brother Gary (Patsy) of Greenwood, SC; Sammy (Jeannie) of Shelby NC; sisters June Haining of Lincolnville, ME; Carolyn (Freddie Payne), Laurens, SC and 1 loving dog “Ceasar”, and many nieces and nephews. He accepted Christ at age12 at Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church and has been a faithful member at Calvery Baptist Church in Rock Hill for many years. Memorials can be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Brissie’s name to Calvary Baptist Church, 830 N. Jones Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29730
