A woman of great faith and virtue, Pat was a devoted member of College Park Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC. Her dedication to the church was evident through her service in the choir and her leadership with the children’s choir. Her beautiful voice also graced the Charlotte Singing Christmas Tree and the Billy Graham Choir. Pat’s commitment to her community shone brightly in her various roles, including President of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Pat’s career as a Caseworker for NC Vocational Rehabilitation spanned three decades, during which she served with grace and unwavering commitment to those in need.

She is survived by her children: Gregory Chance (Pamela McFall-Chance), Tracee Chance (Lamar Vaughn), and Melissa “Missy” Chance (John Earley); her adored grandchildren: Brandon, Cory, Matthew, Garrett, Ashlee, Kaylee & Kassidy; and her precious great-grandchildren: Hayden, Alanna & Brooks. She was widowed by husbands, Winifred (Fred) O. Chowning and Ralph Allen Chance and was also preceded in death by her parents Albert and Lucille Seegers, her brothers Wilford and Jerry Seegers, and sister Edna Caudle.

A graduate of Central High School in 1956, who furthered her education at CPCC, Pat’s life was a testament to her love for the Lord, her devotion to her family, and her passion for music and the arts.
