Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Betty Ann Barron Segal, 88, died Thursday, September 21, 2023 at her home.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Rev. Irvin Plowden, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-2:45 pm at the funeral home. The service will be live-streamed at www.greenefuneralhome.net.
Born December 31, 1934, in Rock Hill, SC, Mrs. Segal was the daughter of the late James Watson and Aliene Parrott Barron. She was a graduate of Winthrop Training School. Mrs. Segal was a loyal Tiger fan and attended Clemson games for over 50 plus years. She was a lifelong member of 1st ARP Church, Rock Hill, SC. Betty was a devoted mother and a wonderful sister.
She loved her friends and family. Mrs. Segal was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles Kurtz Segal.
She is survived by her son, Charles Kurtz Segal, Jr. (Deann) of Rock Hill; grandson, Hank Segal (Kasey) of York; daughter, Ashley Barron Segal of Rock Hill; sister, Cindy Barron Rywak (Michael) of Hickory, NC; niece, Jessica Barron Barton (Peter) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; great nephew, Charles Barron Barton and great-niece, Madison Barron Barton of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
