Rock Hill, S.C. – Mr. Alan Lee Wright, 75, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 at his home.
Mr. Alan was born in Rock Hill, S.C., and was the son of the late Earle Thomas Wright Sr. and the late Juanita Sally McManus Wright. Mr. Alan worked for many years at Paddock Pool, as a supervisor. He enjoyed fishing, deep-sea fishing was his favorite. Mr. Alan was a recognized member of the Masonic Lodge #111. He cherished working in his garden and bonsai tree, and loved to cook for his family.
Mr. Alan is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 32 years, Barbara Evans Wright; his children Michael Lee Wright, Robert Alan Wright (Mindi), Kimberly Dawn Wright Brown (Kevin), and Anne-Marie Payne; his sister Brenda Gail Wright Devinney; sister in law, Mickie J. Wright; grandchildren, Austin Wright (Holly Rister), Alaura Wright, and Jessica Crissey (David); great-grandchildren, Kylia Carpenter, Christopher Morrow Jr., Emmie Wright, Aston Lee Wright, Hudson Smith, Ellison Smith, Austin Smith, and Carter Smith; nephews Steven Wright, Kenny Wright and Chad Kepley; niece Stephanie Wright. Mr. Alan is preceded in death by his brothers Earl “Thomas” Wright Jr., and John Ashley Wright; and great-grandson Nicholas Jesi Smith.
Mr. Alan is also survived by his bonus son; Joseph Wesley Chitwood; bonus grandsons; Nicholas Ron Heisler and Wesley Parks Chitwood; bonus family members; Doris Ludlam Chitwood, Brandy Heisler, Ron Heisler, Betty and Frank Granger, and Mary and David Lozner, and Lisa Bell to name a few.
He will forever be loved and remembered by his family, friends, and the many people whose lives he touched.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, S.C. followed by a Memorial service at 2:00 with Reverend Jerry Devinney officiating.
