Rock Hill, SC – Peggy E. Montgomery, 84, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Rock Hill Post Acute Care Center.
The family will meet at Greene Funeral Home at 1:45pm for a private burial service which will be followed by a Celebration of Life Service.
The Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC and is open to all family and friends.
Born in Gaffney, SC, Peggy was the daughter of the late Dewey Eubanks and the late Gracie Waters Eubanks. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Vanessa Hamilton, and her siblings, Myrtle, Ruth, Bobby, Ronny, William, and Dever.
Peggy was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC. She loved traveling, especially when she had the opportunity to go on cruises. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and working through crossword puzzles. Her family smiles when they think about her quest to find a good deal whenever she was out shopping for her family. She and her husband Tommy were married for 54 years, and always celebrated their anniversary each year dining out over hotdogs. Her family was the most important priority in her life.
Surviving are her husband, Tommy Montgomery; three sons, Matt (Kim) Ramsey, Steve (Terri) Ramsey, Tim (Kristi) Ramsey; daughter, Dale (Mike) Dudick; brother, Ken Eubanks; son-in-law, Ray Hamilton; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
