Catawba, SC – Mr. Thomas B. Osborne, 84, died peacefully, Monday, December 2, 2024 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Friendship Methodist Church, 1200 Neely Store Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730 with Reverend Lynn Shore-Hollis officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00 am at the church.

A native of Fort Mill, SC, Mr. Osborne was son of the late Guy Herbert Osborne and the late Mary Elizabeth Bickett Osborne. He was a longtime member of Friendship Methodist Church and severed his country in the United States Air Force.  Mr. Osborne retired from Bowater where he was very involved in the Safety Team.  He enjoyed fishing and woodworking and caring for his wife of 60 years, Thelma.  Mr. Osborne was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Mr. Osborne is survived by his precious wife, Thelma Osborne, who proudly celebrated their 60 years of marriage in June, 2024.  He is also survived by his daughter, Kimberly Osborne Therrell (Scott) of Catawba, SC; his brother, Gerald Osborne (Dorcus) of Cleveland, NC; his brother-in-law, Richard “Boot” Branham (Phyllis) of Rock Hill; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Sturgis (Jeff); his great-grandson, Holden Sturgis of Irmo, SC; step-grandchildren, Brandley Therrell and Colby Therrell; six nieces and one nephew.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Herbert Osborne and Mary Elizabeth Bickett Osborne, and his brother, Gene Osborne and his wife, Millie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Osborne’s name to Friendship Methodist Church, 1200 Neely Store Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730 or the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the love and support of Atrium Health Levine Cancer Center, Hospice & Community Care – Palliative and Hospice care teams, the care team at the Rock Hill Grove and to Senior Helpers (especially Ms. Evelyn).
